Why is it so important to heal our image of God?

It is not so we'll know what afterlife is like. Rather, it is because we become like the God we adore. We must understand God's love and grace first and foremost, and in turn we will be able to love other people with grace. Studies have shown that this is true in many aspects of our lives. In marriage, for example, the more a couple experiences God as a lover, the more likely they are to enjoy a wholesome, loving marriage.
