Desert Wells

For anyone who knows deep down that they would like to live and love differently, here is a fresh approach: ten original short stories written to help us explore paths that deepen our humanity, such as slowing down, listening, forgiving ”“ living in the present. Each story is written to illustrate a passage of Scripture, but is set in contemporary culture and is deliberately not ”˜religious' either in tone or content. Each illustrates some aspect of loving or failing to love, seeking to throw light on what stops us loving others and how we might grow in love; so that, as we think about the characters and the situations they find themselves in, as we apply to our own lives their troubles and their solutions, we may begin to see ourselves and those around us in a new light: precious, holy and full of possibility.
