One and a Half Million Buttons

Joy was inspired by the project undertaken by the children of Moriah school and their message of diversity and acceptance. This book has been a long time in the making. The project began back in 2008 when the children suggested collecting 1.5 million buttons to represent the children killed in the Holocaust. Over a decade later, this book documents the journey from idea to full travelling exhibition.

In light of the tragic events in Christchurch on 15 March 2019, this message of unity and love seems more important than ever.
